From our humble beginnings in 1971 as a father and son paint and wallpaper store called Walls of Decor. From the recent unveiling of our 9th and 10th locations in Salem and Beverly, the Home Décor Group is still a family owned and operated business. Our continued growth and success have been driven by a formula that provides our valued residential and commercial patrons with reliable and affordable home improvement solutions within an exceptional customer service process that’s second to none.

Design Departments in our Swampscott and Peabody Locations

Over the years, we found that homeowners sometimes struggle to come up with creative design ideas for their kitchen, bath or living room. To better serve their needs, we decided to open fully stocked design departments in our Swampscott and Peabody locations. Staffed by professional designers who will patiently walk you through the entire design process until your objectives are met. Not wanting to rest on our laurels, the Tapper family invested in the latest home decorating paint and stain technologies, including latex and water-based products.

Over the years, we’ve also expanded our selection of top-quality paints and paint samples. When you visit one of the Home Décor Group stores, you’ll find a large selection of paints, stains and painting supplies. Our products are suitable for most interior, exterior, industrial and specialty applications. Also, if you own a home or business in the North Shore, we now carry marine paint products from Sansin. These water based products are specifically designed to withstand harsher ocean-front conditions.
